Päivi Lujala is associate professor of geography with specialization in socioeconomic vulnerability to natural hazards and climate change, and natural resources and natural resource management in the context of armed civil conflict, peacebuilding and development. In previous climate research Päivi’s focus has been on identifying ways of measuring and mapping the degree to which Norwegian municipalities are vulnerable to climate change and natural hazards and understanding peoples’ risk perception related to the possible consequences of climate change. Päivi is responsible for the project ‘Quantitative analysis of community resilience’.
